This is a vintage original, graduated Singer Featherweight 221 throat plate. These needle stitch plates will fit all black, white, and tan Featherweight sewing machines very nicely and will fit very flush to the bed of the machine.  The Reflective Chrome finish ones would be original to 1951-1961 221 Featherweights and will not include screws.  The non-glare style would be original to a White Featherweight or a late black 221 and will include original screws.

Remember, this is an original, vintage part (not new) and will have evidence of sewing use for a part that is approximately 60 to 80 years old.  If your throat plate is worn through around the feed dog slots or is missing altogether from your machine, then this will be the perfect replacement. 

If, when trying to remove the throat plate screws to replace the throat plate and are having trouble, we recommend purchasing the long screwdriver.
