We are very excited to add this lovely 1935 Featherweight 221 to the site; AD945*** indicates a commission date of June 24th, 1945.  Completely serviced, cleaned, polished, electrically inspected, timed, tuned and sampled - rest assured, this Featherweight 221 will be ready to sew right out of the case.  This machine is fitted with an original 110 volt motor that has been rewound to work at optimum speed and torque, so you can plug it in and begin sewing with effortless power.  This 221's decals are in very nice condition, and the machine has been given a grade 8.  

Some of the distinctives to the early Featherweights compared to the later models are: the non-numbered tension unit, the front mount bobbin winder tension bracket, and the split base at the right side of the machine under the receptacle. These features evolved over the next couple of years until the more common characteristics were developed.
